Hi Greg,

My understanding is it's still Q3 that it will be released in. It's possible that the consultant just got confused - e.g., I had it in my head that Q3 started in September, but thinking about it, the months then don't add up ;-)

Cheers,

Preston.

Preston,

I'm curious if that still holds, or if the EMC tech I just got off the phone with was misinformed (or misunderstanding). He just told me 'next quarter'...now if he did not realize we are already now in Q3, that's one thing. But I'm really still hoping they release it this quarter, before 7.4 ends primary support at the end of Q3.

Regarding 7.6 SP1, will that be released sooner or later? ;) About ready to do new install, prefer the new NMC, but need full 2008R2 support. alex567@hotmail.com

Just an assurance from the engineering land - The LGTsc vs NW prefix should not scare folks, its just that internally we switched the bug tracking system from DDTS to ClearQuest and alongwith, we chose to change the bug ID prefix too.

Alright!

I thought this might be something that most networker admins knew. Since that's not the case, it's probably not important.

Regards,
Johannes

p.s. I did not get a message to inform me about your reply this time. I also checked my junk folder.

Historically the escalations were all referred to as LGT??\d+ - I believe the NW* ones may represent newer entries, or they may represent entries that have come in from other sources. I'll ask around in EMC support and see if I can get a better answer :-)

Hi Preston.

One silly question here.

When reading about bug fixes listed e.g here for NetWorker 7.5.2:

ftp://ftp.legato.com/pub/NetWorker/Cumulative_Hotfixes/7.5/Cumulative_7.5_readme.txt

All the bug fixes are prefixed NW.

In the version release notes you point to, some of the issues are prefixed LGTsc and others NW. On page 24 in the release notes there is some strange explanation on this I just don't under stand.

Do you know why some issues are prefixed with LGT and others with NW?

Best regards,
Johannes
