Call me a cynic, but I find buzzword-targetted hype tedious a lot of the time.
There’ll always be people hunting for The Next Buzzword (TNB), and when hearing a lot of hype it’s usually important to stop for a minute and see whether there’s actually anything useful being said, or whether it’s just all hype.
If you’re not sure whether it’s hype or whether there’s anything meaningful in it, I find it’s handy to do a search and replace on the Buzzword or Buzzphrase, swapping it out for TNB (or if you want: The Next Buzzword).
If you do that, you re-read it, and there’s still anything information left in the message, then it’s probably more than just hype.
