If you’re approaching NetWorker for the very first time, it might seem a little intimidating. There are a lot of user manuals for NetWorker, and being a true enterprise backup product, it does have a lot of functionality.
So, what if there were some videos that gave you a basic introduction to some key elements of NetWorker architecture? Architecture is different from operations, of course. You can learn to operate NetWorker but not really appreciate its architecture, and I wanted to spend a little time providing an architecture 101.
So below you’ll find four videos that introduce some fundamental NetWorker architectural concepts. Particularly if you’re just getting started with NetWorker, I hope you find them useful!
In each video below, you can click the caption to jump across to YouTube if you’d prefer to view them there. (The videos are available in high definition and you can switch to that even if YouTube doesn’t automatically start playing the HD version.)
Part 1 – Zones and Hosts
Part 2 – Operations and Targets
Part 3 – Savesets and Databases
Part 4 – Groups and the Policy Engine
