{"id":513,"date":"2009-06-04T12:11:58","date_gmt":"2009-06-04T02:11:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nsrd.wordpress.com\/?p=513"},"modified":"2009-06-04T12:11:58","modified_gmt":"2009-06-04T02:11:58","slug":"in-memory-of-tiananmen-square","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nsrd.info\/blog\/2009\/06\/04\/in-memory-of-tiananmen-square\/","title":{"rendered":"In memory of Tiananmen Square"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Twenty years ago today I sat and watched <a title=\"Tiananmen Square\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tiananmen_Square_protests_of_1989\" target=\"_blank\">the unfolding events in Tiananmen Square<\/a> and witnessed the world-wide outcry from the massacre that happened there.<\/p>\n<p>There are four events I remember with searing detail over the years: Tiananmen Square, the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Challenger Disaster, and September 11.
