I’m pleased to say I’ve completed and made available the NetWorker usage report for 2014.\u00a0I’m particularly grateful\u00a0to everyone who took the time to answer\u00a0the 20 questions in the survey\u00a0conducted between December 1, 2014 and January 31, 2015.<\/p>\n

The report continues to track trends in NetWorker usage within\u00a0organisations: deduplication adoption continues to\u00a0grow, for instance, and Data Domain remains the\u00a0overwhelmingly preferred method to\u00a0enable that deduplication.<\/p>\n

This was the first survey that asked a basic question I should have been asking\u00a0for the last several years (!),\u00a0how big is\u00a0a full backup for your environment?<\/em> The results\u00a0on that question were particularly insightful as to just how large some environments get, and put\u00a0to rest\u00a0that FUD you see occasionally from other vendors that NetWorker doesn’t cut the mustard. (It not only cuts it, but it spreads it in an entirely appetising way…)<\/p>\n
